Enterprise Visibility & Operational Intelligence
Case Study

Reusable Packaging Visibility

RFID identities and automated gate verification made reusable pallets and packing components visible across dispatch and returns.

Challenge

Manual counting made it difficult to confirm complete outbound loads and reconcile returned packaging without relying on visual checks and handwritten records.

Result

Clearer outbound and inbound records for reusable packaging.

Operational Context

Reusable pallets, layer separators and protective components moved out with finished goods and returned through daily operations.

The Challenge

Manual counting made it difficult to confirm complete outbound loads and reconcile returned packaging without relying on visual checks and handwritten records.

Implementation

The deployment combined tag encoding, handheld RFID activity and a locally fabricated industrial RFID gate around the dispatch workflow.

The TechnoBeez Approach

Each pallet and reusable packing item received an RFID identity linked to its system record.

Handheld RFID devices supported receiving, counting and reconciliation, while an industrial RFID gate detected tagged items leaving the facility.

Expected and detected quantities were compared so operators could confirm a complete load and identify missing items before dispatch.

Outcome and Operational Capability

  • Clearer outbound and inbound records for reusable packaging.
  • Less dependence on manual counting during load verification.
  • A reliable basis for investigating shortages, managing returns and planning reuse.

Delivered capability. RFID-based identity, automated movement detection and quantity verification for reusable packaging.
